Step 4 Now do a test search on Avril Lavigne by typing
mp3 avril.lavigne into the Mozilla Firefox URL address bar. This will search only for MP3 files with avril lavigne in them. Always use a dot to replace spaces when using more than one search word.
Once the bookmark is set up, typing mp3 into the URL field is like using a hotkey which activates the bookmark you created. This search also finds avi and mpeg files. Most results however will be MP3s as there are simply many more of them available.
TIP 1 In the Google search results choose sites which have a “song name.mp3” in the description as these web pages have the actual mp3 files on them. The best lists are often not at the very top of the results. The top results are usually commercial sites that describe songs, but we want the actual song files.
TIP 2 Install quicktime to play mp3 songs and mpeg movies instantly and directly in your browser without launching another application.
